Privacy Policy

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERSONAL DATA.

Brixton Ventures Lab, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (hereinafter "Brixton Ventures Lab") with address at Unión 72, Int. B101, Colonia Escandón, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, Ciudad de México, C.P. 11800 has the conviction to protect the personal information provided by suppliers and clients (hereinafter, the "Users") that are provided in the course of providing services or calls (hereinafter, the "Personal Data") and is responsible for its Treatment (term defined below) when collected through interviews, e-mail, Internet sites and/or platforms available for the services and calls or by any other means, present or future, used by Brixton Ventures Lab (hereinafter, the "Means").

PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA.

Brixton Ventures Lab may request and/or collect through the Media, certain Personal Data of the Users for the purposes indicated below, as well as to comply with legal provisions that so require (hereinafter, the "Processing"). Brixton Ventures Lab and/or any third party involved in any phase of the Processing of Personal Data shall keep confidentiality with respect to such Personal Data in accordance with the legal provisions applicable in the United Mexican States (hereinafter "Mexico").

The Personal Data provided by Users through the Media, are intended i) to advise Users on entrepreneurship issues, business intelligence, product design and technological tools, consulting and, in general, the provision of services in accordance with the corporate purpose of Brixton Ventures Lab; ii) identification of the User as a primary means of contact for informative follow-up, to send simple notifications and for the implementation of customized dissemination tools based on the User's profile; iii) to perform audience segmentation, to personalize informative content, to create a follow-up profile and optimize the delivery of content or documentation; iv) to classify strategic needs of the venture and conduct training, support and linkage actions with other entities; v) to review compliance with agreements with financial institutions, to decide business development activities and the development of collaborative projects; and vi) to comply with obligations to our customers and suppliers.

PERSONAL DATA TO BE COLLECTED.

For the aforementioned purposes, we may collect your personal data in different ways. Usually, we collect your data when you provide it to us directly, either to our collaborators or through the Media. Sometimes, we obtain your data indirectly, through other sources that are permitted by law.

The data we obtain from Users may be, among others, the following:

  • Full name

  • Email

  • Birthdate

  • Location

  • Home

  • Nationality

  • Company to which it belongs

  • Biography

  • General commercial and/or financial information about your company

  • Gender

  • Occupation

  • Phone

PRIVACY AND CONSENT.

In the case of adults, sending their data through the Media implies the full and unreserved consent of the Users for the Processing of their Personal Data, in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

The owner of the Personal Data declares that he or she is of legal age on the date the data is provided and has full legal capacity. When data of minors or people who are in a state of prohibition or incapacity established by law are processed, Personal Data will not be collected from said owners, without the prior consent of the person who exercises parental authority, or in where appropriate, the guardian or legal representative, in accordance with the representation rules applicable in each case and in accordance with the following section.

MEANS TO LIMIT THE USE OR DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA.

In order to guarantee the protection of your Personal Data and limit the unauthorized use or disclosure thereof, Brixton Ventures Lab will keep such information confidential, administering the databases containing the same by the persons designated by Brixton Ventures Lab for such purpose, without allowing its use, consultation, handling or access to unauthorized persons.

 

When Users so require and notify Brixton Ventures Lab, Personal Data will be processed in such a way that they cannot be associated with a specific data subject without the help of additional information that will be stored separately.

 

Brixton Ventures Lab does not have data processing facilities or video/CCTV systems.

EXCLUSION OF RESPONSIBILITY.

When browsing or using the Brixton Ventures Lab Website, or receiving messages sent by email from Brixton Ventures Lab, the User may find hyperlinks or hypertext links, banners, buttons and/or search tools in the “World Wide Web” that when used transport to other portals or Internet sites that could be owned by third parties. The Personal Data that Users provide through these portals or Internet sites is not covered by this Privacy Notice and its Treatment is not the responsibility of Brixton Ventures Lab. We recommend Users verify the Privacy Notices displayed and applicable. to these portals and Internet sites.

Users may find within the Brixton Ventures Lab Website pages and other services that may be shared with third parties and that may request their Personal Data (hereinafter “Third Party Sites”). Any information related to Personal Data provided through Third Party sites will be subject to the respective privacy notices contained in each of them, unless Brixton Ventures Lab indicates otherwise.

Brixton Ventures Lab warns Users that Personal Data revealed through such means could in some cases be accessible by third parties. Brixton Ventures Lab will not be responsible for the use, publication, disclosure and/or disclosure made regarding the Personal Data used, published, revealed and/or disclosed through the aforementioned means. We recommend that Users be careful and responsible for any personal information they provide in such media.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA.

Brixton Ventures Lab may, without the consent of the holder, disclose, divulge and/or transfer within and outside the country the Personal Data provided by the Users, to: (i) its affiliates, subsidiaries and/or related companies; (ii) Brixton Ventures Lab's client companies, service contracting parties, their employees and collaborators in Mexico and abroad; (iii) third party service providers necessary to comply with legal, accounting, regulatory obligations in charge of Brixton Ventures Lab; (iv) third parties for marketing, operation, administration, commercialization, business development and other similar and lawful purposes; as well as to comply with legal provisions that so require, or when requested by competent authorities.

 

If you do not express your opposition to the transfer of your personal data, it will be understood that you have given your consent to do so. Otherwise, you consent to the transfer of your personal data under the terms set forth in this privacy notice.

MEANS TO EXERCISE THE RIGHTS OF THE HOLDERS OF PERSONAL DATA AND REVOCATION OF CONSENT.

Users may request the exercise of their rights to:

  • Access your Personal Data;

  • Rectify your Personal Data when it is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • Cancel your Personal Data;

  • Oppose for legitimate cause the Processing of your Personal Data, and/or

  • Revoke your consent to the Processing of your Personal Data at any time, so that it is no longer used.

However, it is important that you keep in mind that not in all cases we will be able to respond to your request to cancel your Personal Data, oppose the Processing or revoke your consent, since it is possible that due to some legal obligation we require to continue processing your Personal Data.

The exercise of the rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation or Opposition of Personal Data and Revocation of consent made by Users must be requested from Brixton Ventures Lab and contain at least the following:

  • The name of the owner, address and email to communicate the response to your request;

  • Documents that prove the identity or, where applicable, the legal representation of the owner;

  • The clear and precise description of the Personal Data with respect to which you seek to exercise any of the aforementioned rights (in the case of rectification, the modifications to be made must be indicated and the documentation that supports your request must be provided);

  • Any other element or document that facilitates the location of Personal Data.

For the purposes of the above, Brixton Ventures Lab makes the following email address eduardo.morelos@brixtonventures.com available to users as the only means of communication.

Brixton Ventures Lab will respond to the User's request within a period of no more than 20 business days from the date on which it receives the corresponding request, through the email that has been provided for this purpose.

The exercise by Users of the aforementioned rights must be subject to the applicable laws and regulations in force in Mexico.

COOKIES AND WEB BEACONS

In order to improve the User experience on its Website, Brixton Ventures Lab may use “cookies”. For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, “cookies” will be identified as the information text files that a website transfers to the hard drive of the User's computer in order to store certain records and preferences. Brixton Ventures Lab may use “cookies” to better understand Users' interaction with the Site and the services provided. The Site may allow advertising or third-party features that send “cookies” to Users' computers. Through the use of “cookies” the Users are not personally identified, only their computers.

For their part, “web beacons” are images inserted into an Internet page or email that can be used to monitor the behavior of a visitor, such as storing information about the user's IP address, browsing time, duration of interaction time. on the Site, sections consulted, Internet pages accessed prior to ours and the type of browser used.

Users may change their options through their computer equipment and/or browsers to stop accepting “cookies” and/or “web beacons” or confirm whether or not they accept them.

SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA.

In accordance with current Mexican legislation, “Sensitive Personal Data” is known as Personal data that affects the most intimate sphere of its owner, or whose improper use could give rise to discrimination or entail a serious risk for the owner. In particular, those that may reveal aspects such as racial or ethnic origin, present and future health status, genetic information, religious, philosophical and moral beliefs, union membership, political opinions, sexual preference are considered sensitive.

In addition, Brixton Ventures Lab may collect financial and asset data that are necessary for the legal obligations that arise from the nature of the relationship with Brixton Ventures Lab and its projects, services or calls. These data include the type and number of your company's bank account, the bank, among others.

In the event that Brixton Ventures Lab requires Sensitive Personal Data from Users, they must provide their express consent.

CHANGES TO PRIVACY NOTICE.

Brixton Ventures Lab reserves the right to modify the content of this Privacy Notice at any time. Any change to the Privacy Notice will be informed to its Users through the Brixton Ventures Lab Website.

Once the Privacy Notice is published it will automatically come into effect.
